è proprio così che si definiscono i nostri BADTERMS. ragazzi della costa Est degli Stati Uniti che ci donano dei fottutissimi pezzi di Street Rock n Roll (Come piace a me!!!!!!) misto a... Heavy Oi!
RTC) How and when was the band born and the members, tell us the hystory of band
BTS) BADTERMS began in September of ’23. The band is Hans Molnar-guitar/bass, Jason Hunt-guitar, Mike Reinhalter/drums, Dom DiNardo-bass, myself (Curt Florczak) vocals, guitar, bass. We started out just Hans and myself as a recording project. Hans lives in Arizona and I’m in Massachusetts so the distance was problematic from the start. We wrote and recorded everything by sending files back and forth. We sent the tunes to Christian at LionHeart Records and he liked what we were doing and wanted to do a record. We started getting show offers soon after putting the music up online so we then needed to put an actual band together to be able to play live. We’ve been going strong playing shows since April of ’24.
RTC) How can we call your style of playing? which are your musical influences?
BTS) Without putting too much emphasis on labels and such, I would say we are a high energy rock’n’roll band with heavy Oi, Punk, and PubRock influences.
RTC) What are your lyrics about? what do you stand for?
BTS) Lyrics are about personal experiences, life, work, love, loss, substance abuse, fucked up shit in the world, the music scene, you know, the human condition and all that.
As a band we want people to have a good time at our shows. We believe in people having respect towards others. At the same time believe that respect is a two way street, you’ve got to be willing to give it if you want it, or expect to receive it.
We don’t stand for any racist, discriminatory bullshit.
RTC) What's your favourite beer or alcoholic drink?
BTS) I’ve been booze free for a while now. A few of the guys drink though. I can’t speak for their preferences.
RTC) Speak about the Oi! and Punk scene in your Area and Country
BTS) ost of us live in Boston, MA and there is a healthy music scene here. Lots of hardcore, some punk, some Oi shows. Generally the gigs are well attended and the people and bands here support each other. A good number of touring bands come through town and there is generally a good turnout for them when they do.
RTC) Can you mention the most important gigs you did?
BTS) There are three shows that stand out to me. Our very first show at the Middle East in Boston with Lion’s Law, The Young Ones, Nothing But Enemies, and NeuRoot.
We played Los Angeles at the Regent Theater opening for Templars, RIXE, Castillo, Ultra Sect, and Bomber.
Third one was in Pittsburgh, PA with No Time, Collaps, Lost Legion, and Seclusion.
All three shows were KILLER and really helped put us in front of a lot of new people. Very grateful to have been a part of those.
RTC) Do you suggest us other bands in your country ?
BTS) So many great bands here, where to even start. Bomber, Slugger, The Stress, Lost Legion, Klaxon, Wired Up, Poor Impulse Control, GAVL, Working Poor, 45v Adapters, Bullshit Detector, Burden, Intimidation, Battery March, Grem, the Slads, Hammer and the Nails, and Rally Cry.…..I could go on and on. All killer bands.
RTC) How much works (CD, LP etc) have you released?
BTS) We have released two 6 song 12” eps on LionHeart Records. A new 4 song 7” ep is due to be released soon, also on LionHeart.
RTC) Do you go to stadium? Is yes, which team do you support.
BTS) None of us are into sports to my knowledge. Only Rock’n’Roll!!! HAHAHA
RTC) Would you like to play Italy? Do you know some Italian bands?
BTS) We would love to play Italy! I actually don’t know of any of of the new Italian bands. Clue us in, we’re always looking for new bands around the globe to listen to!
RTC) So, the interview is over, say something to?
BTS) Thanks for inviting us along! It’s very cool that you are doing something positive for the scene and we appreciate that. Thanks to everyone who has supported us in any way and stay tuned for some cool things for 2025! Cheers!
Ed eccoci giunti purtroppo al termine anche questa volta, e non potevamo non includere un loro pezzo (in realtà 2) trovato sul canale rosso e non è altro che il loro 7" Panic Age.
Cheers & Beers
