Time to War with Casus Belli

Finalmente giungiamo anche nella penisola Iberica, e dalla sua capitale andiamo a sentire i Casus Belli che ci propongono come da detta loro un Classic Oi! vecchio stile.

RTC) How and when was the band born and the members, tell us the hystory of band 

CSB) The band was formed in 2020 by Edu (singer), Golon (former drummer), and Miki (lead guitarist and backing vocals). After Golon left the band, Marcos (bassist) joined, even though he didn’t know how to play bass, and Dani (current drummer) joined too. Finally, in 2024, David (rhythm guitarist) came onboard.

RTC) How can we call your style of playing? which are your musical influences?

CSB) Our style is classic Oi!. On the other hand, our musical influences range from classic Oi! bands like 4 Skins to bands like Motörhead. The bands that most influenced our music from our country might be Zakarrak, Pilseners, Suburban Rebels and Doubling Boys.

RTC) What are your lyrics about? what do you stand for?

CSB) Our lyrics talk about our experiences and daily lives

RTC) What's your favourite beer or alcoholic drink?

CSB) The cheapest blonde beer we can find. The more refined palates go for Jack Daniels.

RTC) Speak about the Oi! and Punk scene in your Area and Country

CSB) For the past five years, more and more young bands have been emerging in Madrid, ready to take over the generational torch and keep the scene alive. Similarly, new bands are popping up all over the country (and some older ones are reuniting)

RTC) Can you mention the most important gigs you did?

CSB) The most important concerts for us have been the ones where we’ve played alongside international bands like Grade 2, Lazy Class, and Oi! Se Arma.

On the other hand, the shows we’ve enjoyed the most are the ones self-organized by the people in our local scene (like Chaos in Madrid or our gig with Golpe de Gracia and REO).

RTC) Do you suggest us other bands in your country ?

CSB) As we mentioned before: REO, Filax, Bardeo, Golpe de Gracia, Arena 6, Aturri, Aresi

RTC) How much works (CD,LP Etc.) have you released ?

CSB) We have an EP titled Exiliado (2023), a single called Cinco Estrellas (2023), and our latest work, Morir Matando, is currently being manufactured. This EP will soon be available in collaboration with TAE Records.

RTC) Do you go to Stadium ? is yes, which team you support ?

CSB) Yes, some of us are fans of Rayo Vallecano.

RTC) Would you like to play in Italy? do you know italian Oi! and Punk scene ? 

CSB) We’d love to visit Italy. As for Italian bands we listen to, we could name Banda Bassotti, Classe Criminale, Bull Brigade, Nabat, Senza Sicura, and F.A.V.L.
